孔子は「学ぶ」と「習う」を区別して使っている。学ぶ、は知識として覚えること。これに対して、習う、は自分で繰返し経験して修得することを意味している。つまり、「知る」ことと「わかる」ことだと言ってもいい。

三千年以上も前の人には自明だった、この区別が、現代の人にはわからなくなっているらしい。そう思うようになったのは、最近の経営書ブームの影響を見てからのことだ。
